USS Tacoma (PF-3) was a Tacoma-class frigate of the United States Navy that served during World War II. She was named after the city of Tacoma, Washington.
The ship was laid down on 26 September 1943, launched on 7 December 1943, and commissioned on 6 November 1944. She was assigned to convoy escort duty in the Atlantic Ocean and later transferred to the Pacific theater where she participated in various operations, including the invasion of Okinawa.
After the war, USS Tacoma was decommissioned on 10 May 1946 and placed in the Pacific Reserve Fleet. She was reactivated for service during the Korean War and operated in the Pacific until she was decommissioned for the final time on 14 January 1952.
USS Tacoma earned one battle star for her service in World War II. She was ultimately sold for scrap in 1964.
